ABOUT DIVE ONE

Dive One Charters is an independent charter boat service owner and operated by Captain Matthew Cetin. Our main goal is to provide the dive community safe transportation to and from Lake Champlain’s beautiful collection of wrecks and underwater geology. Dive One charter service will be available in April and run through November.

Dive One Charters will be home based out of the Ferry Dock Marina in Burlington Vt. One of our priorities has been to be as close to the Waterfront Dive Store as possible. This gives our customers easy access to rentals, repairs, and all the great services that the Waterfront Dive Store offers. Should customers wish to start their charters from a different location such as Plattsburgh Ny. or Mallets Bay Vt. Please contact us to discuss the logistics and request a quote.

Dive One Charters Captain Cetin spent 7 Years Active Duty in the United States Coast Guard. Upon his Honorable Discharge he joined the fire service serving as a full time Fire Fighter EMT-A for the past 25 years. Safety is the highest priority….. Aboard Dive One you will find a DAN Oxygen Kit, DAN First Aid Kit and all the required equipment to be in compliance with the United States Coast Guard. .

For those needing a complete set of rental equipment please contact Waterfront Dive Store. Charter guests will be allowed to start loading the boat 45 minutes before the boat leaves the dock. The charter boat briefing and dive briefing is 15 minutes before the boat leaves the dock.

Dive One is proud to accommodate all levels of experience. Dive One Charters does not provide Dive Masters for charters. However, we can provide names and work with members of the dive community, should a charter customer need a Dive Master onboard. Additional opportunities for groups looking for charters of that nature should contact the Waterfront Dive Store to see the availability of the charters that they have scheduled in the area. It is highly recommended that charters with Basic Open Water Certified divers participating have a Dive Master present for the charter…..

Dives aboard Dive One are NOT guided dives. After a thorough briefing, it is expected that divers are capable of planning their dive and diving their plan. Divers wishing to dive a location listed as Advanced must be Advanced certified and have logged cold water experience and have their own lights. A pony bottle or redundant air source is strongly advised. All dives are expected to adhere to NAUI Safe Diving Practices.
